Dr. Miranda Perry
Founder & Executive Director
Dr. Perry is a pediatric resident physician, advocate, and educator. She prides herself on bringing attention to Black girls' challenges and the joys of their lives.

Kimberly King, M.S.
Associate Director
Kimberly King is a dedicated scholar, advocate, and aspiring pediatrician with a passion for helping Black girls find their voice and creating a safe space for them.
About

This project focuses on creating a safe place for young Black girls, particularly in the 4th and 5th grades, to grow comfortable with discussions on mental health and well-being.

While there is a myriad of topics included in these rich areas of discussion, some of our focuses include puberty, hygiene, colorism, body image, consent, and hair care.

In addition to the discussions, we implement arts and crafts, listen to pro-Black music, and ask the girls topics they would like to learn more about to help them grow into confident individuals.
